Band Instrument Repair Techs:

Hank Hartman has been repairing instruments in the Mat-Su Valley for over 20 years and is a member of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians (N.A.P.B.I.R.T.). Hank is the owner of Matanuska Music, and represents the repair headquarters for the Mat-Su Valley.

Joseph Hartman is has been repairing instruments for over 8 years under the direction of Hank Hartman. He has been a N.A.P.B.I.R.T. member since 2009. He has taken a guitar seminar and a flute head joint seminar.

Douglas Lentz has worked directly under the direction of  Hank Hartman for the past 6 years. He is a N.A.P.B.I.R.T. member and specializes in various Saxophone repair work.

Repairs
Our team of repair technicians is some of the best and most experienced in the valley. Each member has a unique understanding of music and the instruments that make it. Experienced and honest, our technicians go the extra mile to make sure your instrument plays to its maximum potential. With our off-site repair facility, we do repairs on just about every instrument out there.

Band Instruments

Orchestral Instruments

Fretted Instruments
- All Guitars, Bass, Mandolin, Banjos, Autoharp, Zither, etc.

Amplifiers & Sound Systems
- Tube, Solid State, Speakers, Cables, Knobs, Heads, etc.

Pianos
- Upright, Grand, Baby Grand, Digital Keyboard, Piano Tuning, Piano Moving*, Hammers, Strings, Action, etc.


*We move pianos when either purchased from or sold to or for repair reasons. Customer is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of of piano. For piano moving services, contact your local moving and storage company.
Fretted Instrument Repair Tech:

John Hartman is our lead fretted instrument repair tech. He is certified as a warranty repair technician with several reputable companies such as Fender, Gibson and Ovation guitars. He is currently the only licensed Fender warranty repair technician in the state.
Estimates

We do service estimates for a charge of $15.00. With that charge comes a full description and a personal call of exactly what the instrument needs to play and how much the repair will cost - from the minimal repairs to a full service. If the repair is given the go ahead, the price of the estimate is applied to the repair.
